Paralegal/Legal Assistant


- Assist in the preparation of corporate formation and other standard legal documentation.
- Assist in the formation and maintenance of affiliate companies.
- Develop systems and procedures to ensure corporate compliance, including tracking applicable state and local filing requirements.  
- Develop and maintain legal filing system.
- Act as a point of contact for the Legal Department in its interactions with the other corporate departments.  
- Coordinate with other internal departments and third party resources on corporate compliance matters.
- Contribute to the development and promulgation of legal policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the execution of legal documentation.
- Provide support in processing external counsel invoices, including interfacing with external counsel and the Accounts Payable Department.
- Attend to special projects relating to corporate policy and compliance matters.
- Support overall functioning of the Legal Department.

- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- 5+ years of professional experience; prior experience as a paralegal a strong plus.
- Excellent organizational skills.  
- Good writing and communication skills. 
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- The ability to prioritize and work to meet deadlines.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with standard programs such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
